Tag1 Consulting enjoys sharing useful knowledge, and is interested in improving Drupal's performance and scalability. Toward these ends, we have begun our first online book which has a working title of "Drupal Performance and Scalability". The book provides an in-depth look at how to achieve optimal performance with your Drupal powered website, compiling together a broad range of knowledge, tips and best practices.
Our first online book is authored by Jeremy Andrews, founder of Tag1 Consulting and maintainer of KernelTrap.org. The initial book outline was first published on July 17th, 2008. We are ambitiously hoping to complete the online work by the end of this year. Updates will be posted to this website in real time, always giving you free access to the latest version of each chapter of the book.
How you can help
Our goal is to inspire you and other readers to contribute to this online book effort along the way. To help with the editing effort, you can review the chapters as they evolve, suggesting improvements or other topics that should be covered, highlighting grammatical and spelling errors, contributing diagrams, and providing feedback on areas that are difficult to follow and need to be revisited.
The online book is being made freely available at this website, licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 Unported License.
If demand warrants it, once the book is completed we may decide to also publish a hard copy. Whether or not we publish a hard copy, our goal is to always leave the online version publicly available here.
